Asus releases new N82J multimedia laptop

If you’re in the market for a powerful multimedia laptop, do check out the Asus N82J featuring a whole lot of performance hardware on a 14-inch slim body.

The Asus N82J sports Intel’s 2010 Core processors (from i3 to i7) and an NVIDIA® GeForce® GT335M GPU with up to 8GB memory. It’s also compatible with USB 3.0 devices for the fastest data transfer available.

It comes with a custom-built Altec Lansing speakers and coupled with the Asus SonicMaster. it will give you surround fidelity that you would expect from full-size audio systems. It also has the Asus Video Magic which accelerates frame rates up to 72fps and upscales HD video to 1080p without stuttering.

Through NVIDIA® Optimus™ technology, the Asus N82J will manage your display by switching between dedicated and integrated graphics depending on the system’s need to optimize battery usage.

  2. Hi Flores, ASUS rep says to look for the N61jv instead. Much bigger at 16″ but basically almost the same specs. SRP is 54,900 for the Core i5 model with the NVIDIA GT325 graphics card.

  4. Lloyd, depends on what you’re going to use it for. Want to do a lot of gaming? go with the 15″ and up with discrete graphics. If it’s light gaming and more for everyday use, look for 13″ to 14″ with core i3 or i5 depending on your budget.

  5. what asus models(14″) can you recommend to me? i’ll be using it for studies, Photoshop and gaming.

  6. lloyd, take a look at the Asus U30Jc-A1 13-inch lang but it comes with Core i3 processor with Nvidia Optimus graphics for your gaming needs. don’t expect to play with high game settings though.

  8. My son is taking BS Multi Media Arts & Sciences what unit will recommend he’s using it for Graphic design and animation application.

Rolly, this one or something like it should fit the bill. the important thing is something that’s at least core i5, have a dedicated graphics card, nvidia optimus or with cuda tech would be good and also at least 4GB RAM. can’t think of a specific laptop model but aim for those specs when shopping for a laptop.

    • sorry but i can’t suggest anything with that range. baka ma-disappoint ka lang sa specs. go to those computer shops with lots of laptops and ask for core i5 to i7 at least and with at least 1GB of discrete graphics.
